This video is the sequel to the Jamaican Patois Lesson video I posted a while ago. This is the same day and same place as the patois lesson, a couple hours later and a few rums into it. Barrington, the bartender at Scotchies was full of jokes this entire afternoon and we were thoroughly entertained. I suspect he is why some people’s bar tabs run high….Scotchies should give him a raise!
He asked us if we were interested in some bartender tricks and we asked if we could film it of course. The result was me looking like a complete idiot – something I always like to do. I guess I wasn’t dumb enough that he never wanted to speak to me again though, because as you’ll see near the end of the video he did come out for drinks with me on a different day, to Chill Out Hut in Trelawny. But even then he couldn’t let an opportunity go by to get me with yet another bar trick.
