Okay yes, I go to strip clubs and go go bars in Jamaica once in a while. I have valid reasons and it’s not to watch scantily clad females strip! #1 the music at the go go bars is bumpin all the time. #2 they aren’t packed with people and least of all men trying to hit on me. They’re more interested in the females on stage. Okay there’s a 3rd reason…those female dancers can move isolated butt muscles like nobody’s business!
Scrub-A-Dub is a place I discovered a couple years ago because one of my best ladies lives just up the hill from it, you have to drive by the place to get to her house. What I find funniest about that club is that its a strip club AND a car wash! Where else can you find that? It’s the greatest combo even though I never need a car wash.
Inside Scrub-A-Dub its really big compared to roadside go go bars I’ve been to. It’s also a lot classier than roadside ones. There’s a giant cage in the center of the place and that’s where the girls dance. I feel I would kill myself if I tried even one of the stunts they pull on the cage bars! So I always stand off to the side very close to the bar where I can drink freely for a decent price. Who am I kidding? The prices aren’t that decent. A drink at this place if I remember correctly, was $400 jmd. I can get one for $80 jmd near my apartment in Ochi.
So anyway, if you want to find Scrub-A-Dub and experience something other than the Jungle in Negril here’s how you get there. Coming from the beach side you go towards the center of town and at the round-about you keep left and don’t head up to the cliff-side. After you’ve gone left you stay on that road til you reach the second gas station – I think it’s the Texaco and turn right before it. Not far up the hill you’ll see the club on your right hand side on a corner. Enjoy! And then go home and practice isolating your butt cheeks!
