Forget about Texas because they’re bigger in Jamaica!! Living in Canada, we get the worst of the world’s produce up here. None of it is locally grown and it has to come a long way to get to us. So you can imagine my AWE seeing an avocado this size! It looked like a football was nesting inside of it after I took the pit out!
I love eating avocado in any way possible. I can’t imagine how many barrels of guacamole this one could make. Okay so I’m exaggerating but for real….the pit inside was the size of a baseball.
This one made an excellent appetizer for some guests I had over to my apartment this evening. We simply sliced it up and served it like watermelon and it was fabulous! Just an example of why it’s just better in Jamaica. The food is unbeatable.

I bought one of those last week at Produce Depot…they are very good…it is another type of avocado forgot the name. But you can find them in specialty stores.
They call them pears in Jamaica….I have no idea why!
bet it tasted great,do you make your own guacamole sometimes?,some mexican restaurants guacamole is better than others here in greenville, south carolina,nice when is made with the right amount of lime etc.,thanks for sharing,jamaican produce,always the best!
That giant avocado tasted kind of sweeter and fresher than ones back home.
I do make my own guacamole sometimes. But I cheat….I have a spice mix that all you do is mash up some avocado, add some sour cream and the spice mix and VOILA!

I did check out Urban Grower….his videos were entertaining but they’re all about ganja LOL. I don’t smoke so it gets old fast.
