It’s 9:30pm on New Years eve, I guess I have no social life!! But in all honesty this blog has become a significant part of my life in the last year. On January 1, 2009 I made my first post and the whole thing has snowballed since then! Once I became accountable for what my growing fan base was reading I was on a mission to PROVIDE!! And now I’m ushering in January 1, 2010 already!
The very first thing I want you guys to know in 2010 is how grateful I am for your continued support and readership. For every 100 spam comments I get on this blog, there are 3 or 4 genuine comments from you guys that just inspire me to keep writing….and my writing inspires me to keep getting out there and discovering new things about Jamaica that I want to share.
I admit there have been some down moments with Jamaica My Way in the last year. Sometimes I run out of things to write about and I have a string of crappy posts, I feel it from the lack of comments. And then in the summer there was a major issue with my server and I had a lot of down time and ultimately, I lost a good amount of posts while changing over to a new server. I actually shed REAL tear when that happened LOL!
After 365 days and 122 posts I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of my readers, friends, family, Alliance Girls and the Russian spammers who made my stats look better than they really are!!! This blog and my chat forum Jamaica Our Way, has exploded into much more than I ever expected and I can honestly say its ALL because of you guys!
So heading into a second year I can promise you big things are coming! New connections, brand new articles, new features….just everything NEW!! Big tings a gwaan in 2010!!
STAY TUNED….first trip of the new year is in February!!!

You’ve provided your readers with a wealth of useful information. Those who are new to Jamaica have learned a lot of things that no travel agent could ever tell them and the “old heads” like me have enjoyed living vicariously through your adventures. I think your blog is just scratching the surface of what will soon come to fruition: and all of us can live your dream out right along with you!
