Favorite Jamaica Questions

Not many of you know but in the last couple years I acquired a shopping center, an entire sports college and a whole bunch of Jamaican restaurants! And I bet you all thought I was just a blogger.

One of my favorite things about having this blog are the random and entertaining questions I get on a regular basis. I used to write posts a long time ago about my favorite Google search terms people used that landed them on Jamaica My Way. I will provide links to those posts at the end just for your entertainment purposes. But it seems now the questions are getting far more direct and serious and they’re coming via email due to Google searches. I have to laugh and shake my head at the same time.

When I say I have acquired a shopping center in Jamaica, I mean I am obviously the proud owner and human resources department for Mega Mart, since I did shop there ONCE. I have received countless job inquiries for people wanting to work at Mega Mart! No one has actually sent a resume yet but they have indeed told me what hard workers they are and how thrilled they would be to work for me at the store, and have asked where they can direct their resume.

When I say I have acquired an entire college in Jamaica, I mean that I have received countless admissions questions to get into GC Foster College in Spanish Town. Now these ones I actually feel bad for because I can’t give them any information. I just visited the place and wrote about it, which should be obvious in the blog post. I’m not even sure how someone could mistake a blog post for an entire college website. A friend of mine joked today that I should say YES I AM the college and please send your tuition deposit now to hold your spot LOL.

Last but not least, when I say I have acquired a bunch of Jamaican restaurants….you figure out the rest. I get dinner reservation requests all the time! So much that I’m actually trying to figure out a way I CAN cash in on it! Today I had a request for 25 people wanting to come for dinner in August! This reservation would be worth fighting for to get a piece of it LOL. The unfortunate part is that I have no idea which restaurant they’re talking about because they just use my general contact form at the top of the site.

Sometimes I laugh at the strangeness of these requests because the people COULD NOT have read the blog post and still not know I just told a story about the place in question. Do people just Google something and hit “contact” before knowing what site they’re on? Funny. Anyway I will keep you posted if any other fun requests come in!
