This was my first impression of Treasure Beach on the south coast of Jamaica. I was invited down there to spend some time with some of my friends who were also on the island the same time as me and they were staying at this most awesome villa in Treasure Beach!!

I got a ride down to Treasure Beach from Mandeville which only took about 45 minutes. My first impression of this little town was “peace and quiet”. As we drove the long road along the coastline looking for this villa I felt a sense of laziness and tranquility. And when we arrived at the villa my first impression was “WOW how much are they paying for this place!!!”
My two girlfriends were renting this place for a night and when I arrived they gave me the full tour. I was totally amazed since the places I usually stay are extremely local and cheap. Here are pictures of the inside of this private, fully equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa. It came complete with it’s own private swimming pool.

The view from either bedroom on the second floor of this villa is spectacular and breathtaking! I was under the impression they were paying a fortune for a place like this. And the main floor here was fully equipped. The kitchen had every appliance and amenity right down to a blender, there was a sound system in the dining room, we watched movies on the TV and DVD player in the living room while lounging on leather couches.
Outside there is a private swimming pool and gazebo area with a large yard surrounding the property. We all sat under the gazebo for a while to chill out before taking a dip in the pool. My driver never left the gazebo…he just fell asleep in the hammock.

So now for the surprise….the cost per night. For 2 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and all the rest of the goodies you saw in the pictures….you can rent Sparkling Waters villa for a measly $225 USD per night. Okay that’s not what I would personally spend on a place to stay BUT think about it…if you are two couples on vacation and split that cost you’ve got it made in the shade! I think it’s beyond reasonable for what it is!
Apparently the owners of this villa also own a couple more neighboring ones. I didn’t get a chance to see them but you CLICK HERE to check out the website for all three and see for yourself. The yellow one is this one I just wrote about.

All of the Treasure Beach entries are from our stay at Sparkling Waters – it is a WONDERFUL place i’ll definitely stay at again. We took all 3 villas – 6 bedrooms – and paid even less as a group 🙂

That’s awesome!! I never stayed that night cuz I had to go back to Mandville but I would love to go back down there with a group. Maybe for our forum link up!
this place is really fly.. i hope u dont start ditching the local spots for the lap of luxury. But ur right it is pretty affordable if 4 ppl split the cost.. hmmmm got me thinking!
LOL don’t worry I won’t ditch!! You must have read the part where I DID NOT STAY at this place LOL. It’s because I don’t afford dem tings deh.
Anyone have any info on this resort?… Whats the beach like, the food, location as far as walking distance to town??…. Originally planned on staying at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton but have heard its not close to anything… Going in September 2010… 2 couples.. Love snorkeling, good food and friendly people! Where would you stay? ALSO, does anyone know the cheapest transportation from the airport to Negril? Cheapcaribbean.com is charging $110 roundtrip for 2 people! Is this a good deal?… Thanks.
I paid $130 for 3 people round-trip from MoBay to Negril using OneStopNegril.com. Two people were $110, so it sounds like the going rate.
this plc was so beatiful i will definetly go again
