Fire Water Video Compilation

Not sure if you all remember my trip up to FIRE WATER in St Ann’s Bay last year but I had the opportunity to go up there again during regular hours for the FULL treatment! It was fabulous!

The best time to go up here is just before dusk.  You’ll get there in daylight to see everything it has to offer and you can stay as long as you want.  It’s nice to be in here as the sun goes down and the fire is the only thing illuminating the area, and reggae music fills the air. So pleasant.

This time I went I got the full treatment! The person who works up there will give you a full rundown of all the history and science of the natural mineral water that burns, tell you about the healing powers it’s believed to have, about the testing that’s been done here, and the lady who owns the land and made the discovery. Then, as you sit on the rock in the water enjoying the warmth he’ll douse a towel in the fire and water and give you a facial steam, arm and leg rubdowns and just make you feel generally GREAT!

There is no charge to enter Fire Water but you should tip them what you feel is fair for whatever you enjoy during your stay. We each tipped large because we were there for almost 2 hours chatting, wading and getting such nice treatment.

It’s quite a treasure to see! Even our driver (red shirt in the video) had never stayed and experienced it before. You can see him taking as much video as we were!

  1. wow! u could just light the water on fire?? thats random.. it sound like u guys had a real relaxing outing this day.

btw, have i ever told you — i love your blog! 🙂 I really do.. i’m pretty sure i would have NEVER came across places like this if it wasn’t for you! and I’m sure a lot of the locals have no idea that these places exist either..

    1. Thanks girl. I love doing it…..if I didn’t I’d quit because it costs too much money to go all the time LOL!

Yah this place is wicked, been there twice now.

  2. Not sure how I missed this post. Went to Fire Water last week and just posted my video on Youtube. Definitely will have to try going at dusk and get the full treatment!

    1. I’m gonna check out your youtube channel and watch your vid too. I see you subscribed…I’ll find it.
So glad to hear you’re really out there exploring…but I guess I don’t expect anything less from you lol.

Luna, it’s not in Runaway Bay. As the blog post says it’s in St Ann’s Bay and there’s no way to describe how to get there. Your best bet is to hire a driver to take you there because it’s in a really obscure location.

  5. How much do the full treatment cost, some one in your comment section say its expensive.

    1. As I mentioned in the post, there’s no real cost for the treatments. It is by donation so you can give them whatever you feel it is worth. I haven’t been there in years so maybe it’s changed now but a few years back there was no fee.

So apart from the amazement of seeing the firein th water..can someone tell me if their pains were healed..anxiously awaiting a reply since I might be doing a trip to jamaica soon..

  7. Hello, I just wanted to advise that there is a fee now. I have been twice once last year and once this year and was charged a $50 fee for me and my fiancé. It’s worth it tho.

    1. Sherry thanks for letting me know about the fee. I think that’s a LOT to charge but I guess everything has it’s price. I’ve been here a few times as well and I do think it’s worth the experience.
