Stop In For A Drink on the Roadside

No matter where you go in Jamaica there will ALWAYS be someone on the side of the road selling beverages. Yes you’ll even find them on deserted roadways because someone will always stop in for a drink!   This girl has her drink stop set up right in front of her house, guess she doesn’t have to go far for work!

We actually stayed and chilled out at her place a while, she also had a little wooden table set up off to the side and a big orange, homemade tire lounge chair rigged up!  I just HAD to try it out because it looked super comfy….and actually it was!  It looks like a tire from one of those big leisure-water-pedal things you see in the water at resorts.

I passed by this place a few times in my Port Maria adventures in February and there was always someone lounging here.  The day I finally stopped, I bought a cold Magnum and just sat here sipping away.  Spoke to several people  who were on their way to a soccer match. 

Next time you see a drink place on the side of the road…STOP!! Not only will you be helping out their business that day but you can meet awesome people and find out about the strangest things. Some other people invited me to a cock fight while I sat there! I didn’t have time to go but it sounded tempting!
