Milford Falls – Ocho Rios

It seems people like to take me to random cool places in the middle of the night. Not sure why these things don’t come up during the day, night time viewings make for crappier pictures.

The same night I got to see a random recording studio in Ocho Rios, I also got to see this cute little natural wonder…Milford Falls. These little falls are located on Milford road quite far up the hill.  Any taxi driver would know where it is.

From what I saw (in the dark) the falls definitely weren’t Dunn’s River falls but it was so pleasant to see and hear.  I love waterfalls and this one is definitely NOT a tourist trap.  I loved it because it’s more private than one of those big attractions.

I noticed someone laid a claim on these falls and a “donation” is requested when you come to enjoy the scenery.  I don’t mind those kind of requests because it’s probably supporting a couple local people who thought of a way to make a small income.  It reminded me of the FIRE WATER in St Anns Bay….no actual fee to see it but a donation is requested.  I would much rather support this kind of attraction because it feeds into the community around it.

I apologize for the lame nighttime pictures but I actually think it’ll be worth going back during the day on my next trip in a couple weeks.  Stay tuned.
