Landing in Montego Bay is wicked and it NEVER gets old! I just did my 9th trip and still….I always book my seat on the right side of the plane because that’s the side you can see the island on when coming in. I take pictures every single time I land there too. Like I said, it never gets old!

This next one is a great far away shot of the beach in Montego Bay, near the cruise ship dock.

One of the best places to swim in Mobay is Dead End Beach. Why? Because its RIGHT BESIDE the airport and the planes fly super low over your head while you’re in the water. If you like planes like I do, its awesome!!

And in case you’re interested in knowing what it’s like to fly into Montego Bay, this video pretty much covers it. Enjoy!

Looking at the whitecaps always made me giddy when preparing to land. I also like seeing the cloud’s shadows on the water. Boy I sure do miss it!
Looking at that whole chunk of land out the right side of the plane makes me giddy!!
GURL when are you coming back???
Aww! I got teary-eyed looking at this! WOW! Time home really does fly!
WOW, i couldnt stop smiling watching this…memories of my landing there and how excited I was too….cant wait to go back
Bwoy I remember when I’d only been there once like you….how excited I was to get back. Believe me girl, this landing NEVER EVER gets boring! I’ve done it 14 times and it still excites me!!
I love Dead End Beach! I would walk down every nite. Only locals go right to the end where the bar is and its so relaxing..all the vendors are there..nice music….so peaceful..I miss Jamaica can’t wait for December 17th to come……
I have never landed there yet. As I watch this video (from MN where it is 16 degree right now), I am experiencing lots of different emotions. I got tears in my eyes as soon as I heard the flight attendant say, “Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Montego Bay”. I can only dream of experiencing this at this point. I feel like part of me is missing and I need to go there to find it. I know that may sound weird, but it’s the truth. But, I still plan on going in late April – maybe sooner – even though the link-up didnt happen. I want to go to dead end beach.
Wait a minute Jamie……are you telling me you’ve NEVER been to Jamaica?? Ummmm how did I miss this? I assumed you were one of us LOL!! Girl you need to GO! And if I end up there same time I will sit with you at Dead End beach forever!! LOL!
Well, not officially…….
I just went there because that was where my cruise ship stopped for the day. LOL
I have never had a chance to go there and enjoy myself. When I went, I loved it there. But, I had my one year old with me, and I met up with my boyfriends family. I was sort of depending on them to find something for us to do for the day. Bless their hearts, they had no idea what to do. They are from Flankers, and barely had enough money to take the journey to Ochi. So, we just sat on the beach right by the cruise ship, took a short taxi ride to a local Jamaican restaurant called Mamas for breakfast (I felt so at home there), then went back to the beach. But, we didn’t go on the beach, we stayed right by the beach. Nobody had money to go to the beach, and I certainly didn’t have enough money to pay for everyone.
Anyway, I am due for a trip, that’s for sure!
See that’s why I don’t think I could ever do a cruise because what if you fell in love with a place and had to get back on the boat in a few hours?? UGH it would be sad.
