Jamaica Billiards
So not only can you swim in pools in Jamaica, you can play pool too! There are PLENTY places to play and it seems I hit at least one each trip.

Not far up Milford Road in Ocho Rios there’s a cool place on the roadside to play pool and have some drinks. For the life of me I can’t remember the name of it but its directly across the street from a men’s drug rehab centre. I played this random guy up there and yep….whooped his butt LOL.

A couple trips ago, a friend of mine’s brother took me to a different bar that also had pool…I believe it was on James Avenue in Ocho Rios. I don’t think I played as well that night and I’m pretty sure alcohol was a major factor in that! This place had a great DJ and dancing too.
Just as they’re pretty much good at EVERYTHING, Jamaicans are wicked pool players too! I went to a bar on Dead End beach in Montego Bay one day with a couple of Jamaican friends and they regrettably were the best people I’ve played there. I lost every game but it was sure nice playing ocean-side pool! And right on the other side of the fence from this place is Sangster airport so you get to watch the planes land and can hear them firing up for takeoff every 5 minutes too. It was such a nice place to be!

If you love pool and love to lay back in Jamaica, its a great way to kill time and meet new people! Be prepared to get a run for your money though, I’ve never met a bad pool player in Jamaica!

Has anyone heard of a pool game called Stickle? A friend of mine played it as a boy in Jamaica and is wondering if there’s any info on it?
Any assistance would be appreciated
Hi John, unfortunately I personally don’t know about that game. There are so many versions of pool it’s hard to know. Why don’t you join my Jamaica facebook group and I’ll put the question out to them. There are thousands of people in the group….someone has to know!
